The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Vacless Systems, Inc., announced on 19 January, voluntary recall of the vacuum release system. Consumers are advised to stop using the systems immediately. It is illegal to sell or attempt to sell this product. The potential danger, plastics that are inappropriate within the recalled product has been attributed to faulty vacuum release, creating an entrapment hazard to bathers. Vacless Systems, Sylmar, California, has not received any reports of incidents or injuries.
