An Amazing History of the Underworld
This story has a author, whose name was Richard Sharpe Shaver, who died in 1975, who achieved notoriety in the years following World War II as the author of controversial stories published in science fiction magazines, mostly in Amazing Stories.
The controversy was due to the fact that both Shaver and his editor Ray Palmer claimed that the writings, despite being presented as a fiction, were fundamentally true.
One of these letters refers to Deros and Teros, both races would be in the underworld beneath our feet, and from there, through specially-designed devices are capable of causing great damage, such as earthquakes, floods, and much more.
Shaver wrote of tremendously advanced pre-historic races who had built cavern cities inside Earth before leaving this world to go to another planet.
These old also left some of their own offspring sick here on Earth, which degenerated over time into a population known as mentally damaged sadistic Dero. These beings lived in the cities still in the underground cave, according to Shaver, kidnapping people dwell on the surface for their meat and use this fantastic machines which "beams" that the great ancient races left behind him to escape from the Earth These machines are capable of projecting thoughts and voices to haunt our minds.
These robots Deros also known as harmful, are upset, and only seek to harm humanity. In opposition Teros them are terrestrial or integrating robots, trying to save us from the evils of Deros.
Interesting story, would not surprise me any more than use it for a future science fiction movie.
